This is about a love story but it's sad. Knowing you can be with the person you fell in love with for a short time. I'm glad she knew the truth before she went forward with stuff. Also why does guys think oh if I'm mean and hurt her then that's better? I'm hoping it's happier in the next book.

Untouched was so beautiful and I feel wrapped up in this story, like I haven’t in a long time.Fitz, a recent college grad, is forced to spend his summer working at a camp where his attention lands on Cadence, the camp owners daughter. The two start a tumultuous summer fling which is destined to end in heartbreak.The writing was perfect, the story pulled me in and I fell in love with the characters BUT I so wish I would’ve skipped the prologue. It literally gave everything away… WHY DID THE AUTH…OR DO THIS?! I would’ve given this 5 stars, if I didn’t have a constant feeling of angst because it wasn’t hard to guess that Fitz and Cadence would still break up and that Cadence was going to end up pregnant.It’s obvious this book was written with the knowledge that there would be another book, but I wish it was more of its own thing and less of a preparation for their actual story when they reunite later.”Sunsets will always belong to you. When it’s dark, I’ll remember you to find the light. You will forever hold my heart. Leaving you will always be my biggest regret.”I actually cried when it ended because I’m so heartbroken.. but worry not, now that I am done with this review I will spend the $4.99 to lift my spirits and buy the second book.

This is my first book by this author but by no means my last. I didn't realize it was part of a duet when I started reading it and lately I've been trying to stay with standalones so if I don't have time with advance reader books, I won't feel cheated. Alas, it IS part of a duet and I HAVE purchased the next book because I absolutely HAVE to find out what happens next to Cadence and Fitz. Yes it IS young adult but it is also something that many young girls have had to deal with when it comes to… first loves. I look forward to seeing how Dakota can possibly bring these two into the light.

Young Adult books are not generally what I read, but I came across this and found it piqued my curiosity. The two main characters, Fitz and Cadence had an immediate attraction to one another that I felt the need to take the journey with them to see where it would take them. Fitz had a major secret that he couldn’t bring himself to share with Cadence and chose to make the most of their time together while it lasted. Now, secrets have been told, the future is bleak and life threw them an even b…igger curve ball. The book ends with the future uncertain and I am anxious to move to the next book to see how it plays out.

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.Whilst I enjoyed listening to this story, I sort of came away with the impression that it's a wonderfully detailed prologue for what will follow in the following book in this trilogy.That said it's a story about two young adults Cadence and Fitz meeting and getting to know one another when Fritz is sent to work at Cadence's parents' summer camp for three months to make him reflect on his unacceptable behaviour an…d to make a better man of him. They met almost on his arrival, and at first, she was totally unimpressed by this sexy bad boy. But over time they get to know each other and she begins to see him differently, in fact, she comes to believe that he's a great guy who finds himself in a bad place.But just when you think their relationship will develop into something more, Fritz tells her that it can't really go any further because he's being forced to marry a woman of his father's choosing. It's an emotional story where we got to see how sweet Cadence is, that Fitz is a better man than you first think and just how good a couple they could be if they were allowed.....The narration is excellently done by Lacey Laurel and Zachary Webber, they are both very talented and were able to make me feel the emotions felt by the characters. Lacy and Zachary really worked well together in this book bringing every character to life.

This is a cute, sweet, young love story between Cadence and Fitz. Cadence is a student who is working at her parent’s summer camp. Cadence seems to be a smart, sweet, sassy young woman. Fitz is a college grad who ends up at the camp because of some incident that happened, and his punishment was to work it off at the camp. He comes off as cocky and arrogant, but once you get to know the real Fitz, it is a whole different person.Fitz is taken in by Cadence, but Cadence is not falling for that… bad boy charm. After a few days, Cadence and Fitz seem to be making strides towards a friendship, even though Fitz knows it is a bad idea. You have chemistry, secrets, truths, revelations, heart break, and regrets. While this is a summer camp it's about college students. I really appreciate this fact, reading about steamy scenes about teens kinda freaks me out.Bad boy paying penance for past mistakes, by volunteering at a summer camp. He's sees a girl whose organizing the kids and is drawn to her. Commence a summer of love and escaping the real world. But what happens when their little fantasy worlds bubble pops into reality?I really enjoy the narrators. The female voice sounds like she's stuffy which is …a little annoying at first, but you get used to it. The male voice is really interesting to listen to. This book was amazing. Author Dakota Willink draws you into the love story and never lets you down. The sparks fly and once they do you want everything to work out for these two. The backdrop of a summer talent camp is the wonderful place to let love fly. Cadence is an innocent at 18 trying hard to get into college early while Fitz is 22 and finished college. Fitz is the all american college playboy who has been sent to this camp as a punishment from his father. Fitz has a secret that coul…d or will destroy the bond between him and Cadence. This book kept me reading and I didn’t want it to end. I was made to feel so many strong emotions. I can’t seem to get this story out of my mind a day later. I will be searching for book 2 in this series.

I thought this was a great story and it flowed really well. Fitz is sent to the camp where Cadence works with her family as punishment for not towing the line. Cadence knows she should stay away from him but easier said than done. This has the drama and angst that is expected, and the growing relationship between the two was wonderful and believable. ***4.5 stars***Cadence Untouched is the first book in this duet. Dakota Willink is a new author for me and I enjoyed her writing style. I was absorbed into the story and it kept me intrigued page by page. The characters are well developed and mature threw out the book. Cadence and Fitz have an incandescent connection that has an end date. This story is emotional and you will need tissues. The twists in this story you don’t see coming.
