DEFINED: Fade Into You Book 2 Digital Audiobook
One love. One destiny. But it only takes one person to bring the house of cards tumbling down…
Seventeen years ago, Fitz Quinn stole my heart.
He took my innocence, then left me broken.
When a twist of fate brought us together again, I quickly learned even time couldn’t dim our chemistry.
Fitz was sexier than ever—successful and provocative.
He became the man I always knew he would be, and the heat between us quickly became unbearable.
Despite the promise I made to myself, the walls around my heart started to crumble.
Before I could stop it, I fell for him all over again.
But things are so much more complicated now.
Lives are at stake.
I have to decide if sacrificing everything that defined me is worth being with the only man I have ever loved.

The conclusion to Fitz and Cadence's story did not disappoint. This book tugged super hard on my heartstrings and had me all up in my feels.
I was totally surprised by the twists and turns of this second book. It was captivating to see a pure love survive so many roadblocks. Exceptional realistic story telling!
I still gave 4 stars but man I was annoyed for lot of this book.SpoilersI get her being upset and hurt so kept baby from him. But 17 years later and you need to tell him she chickens out so much. Again ok maybe not first time seeing him again it's scary but she had so many time to tell him. He was so open and honest how he was feeling and being so sweet. Come on you're in your 30s be nervous but do it. Then after waiting so long they skip the part where they tell the kids the truth. I wanted t…o read how that played out. I did love the ending. So some good parts. Just couldn't handle how scared she was through most of the book.
Defined is book number two in the Fade Into You series and unfortunately was such a let down for me. I LOVED the first book. The ambience, the writing + the mc’s of course… none of that transferred into this sequel. It’s been seventeen long years since Cadence and Fitz broke up at the end of their summer together. Fitz went through with his arranged marriage and Cadence had their baby alone. Through mer coincidence the two cross paths again, and it doesn’t take long for their connection to spar…k again.. neither one of them has forgotten about the other.No. No. No. I’m actually so upset about this book, I was going to rate it with three stars, but the more I went over it in my head, I just couldn’t do it. I had HIGH hopes, book one left me with a broken heart and I was anxious to see how Fitz and Cadence’s story would continue just to be so let down. The time jump is WAY too long. 17 years is a ridiculous amount of time. There is so much we have missed and it’s insane to thing that these two who are obsessed with each other wouldn’t have looked for each other before this. Fitz went to look for her once? That’s it??Cadence had articles about Fitz’s marriage, baby, career but then didn’t know his wife had died?!They are supposed to have this amazing love connection, but I couldn’t feel it AT ALL anymore. It was just off, I loved Fitz in the first book and now found his character so underdeveloped. While I found Cadence’s naivety charming before, I now find her annoying. She hasn’t had sex with anyone else?! I get it Fitz was her first love, but girl, he left and got married to someone else and it’s not like he stayed away from the other sex. He had a freaking kid with someone else. It’s so stupid…This book REALLY pushed the liberal political agenda, which is interesting since that wasn’t at all part of the first part. It really took me by surprise to read so much about politics and immigration law. I’m literally an immigrant and I just don’t want to read about this in my romance book. I didn’t want to read about politics I wanted a better story for Fitz and Cadence.I left this book just feeling sad.. I wish it ended with it all being a dream and they were back at the lake at camp and wouldn’t have wasted all these years.
While I liked the first book in the series, Untouched, I LOVED this book. I guess the characters matured and I was just more connected to them here. Fitz grew more of a backbone as the book went on and he gained more respect from me. Cadence also became even more of a strong woman who really proved to be a survivor. Her secret was the driving force in the book and made things very interesting. I was really rooting for this couple to get their well deserved happy ending.
This book is an interesting tale of young love reconnected after years apart. I liked book 1 where it had the teenage innocence, now in this book the characters are older and more mature. The question now is if they get can get their stuff together and make it work.It was a good book that engages the listener. It had a bit too much political mumbo jumbo for me, but that could be just my opinion.I felt the narrators did a fantastic job portraying the characters in this book. Overall, it earned …a solid 4 stars from me.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.Having listened to the first book I was eager to see where Cadence and Fitz's story took us and whilst part of their story pulled at m heartstrings my overriding feeling about the story as a whole was one of disappointment. I'll explain why. I'm English and although I know a little about the political scene in the US I don't know enough to want to read or listen to a book that could have been an enjoyable and emo…tional second chance love story between Cadence and Fitz where their story takes second place to politics, it was very off putting and seemed to tell a one-sided version of what I can only assume are the author's own personal beliefs. It gave a bias to the story which for me was over the top. Obviously, if you are from the US and fully understand the politics there you may feel differently. When the author did concentrate on their second-chance romance some 17 years later when Cadence and Fitz meet again whilst running to discover that the sparks are still there was well done. I enjoyed seeing them discover how each of their lives has changed, there are now two children to be considered, as well as the secret Cadence is hiding from Fitz which could change everything was also well done.I liked the drama, chemistry and passion as their romance bloomed again, I also liked the way the characters had grown from the young people they were in the first book when Fitz broke her heart because of his father. She was devastated when Fitz left her and as his father is still a controlling influence in Fitz’s life, I could understand her doubts about not wanting to subject Callie to this.I will listen to the next book, just to find out what happens but I do hope it is not as politically biased as this one.The Narration of the book by the wonderfully talented Lacy Laurel and Zachary Webber was really well done.Whole story ***The Love Story part ****The Narration *****
Watch them fall for each other all over again. Plus filling in the last 17 years. Swoon!Voice actors did such a great job with each characters tone.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fitz and Cadence together again, I could not be happier to read part 2 of their story. Dakota Willink has hit this one out of the park. The reuniting of Fitz and Cadence is filled with so much turmoil. This story takes place 17 years after the first part. Cadence's baby is all grown up and ends up going to prom with Fitz’s son. Fitz is still butting heads with his father and could end this reunion before it really gets going. I loved this duet. Both stories keep you guessing and if all wil…l work out with a happy ending.
Having read the first one I had to continue to see if it still had the touch to keep my attention. Fitz and Cadence seem to be thrown a second chance if they do not waste it. The chemistry still sizzles and they are older. Now it seems there is no denying either regardless what the brain says. They both have positions that were worked for but it would seem they have clashing jobs. What will this bring for them and can they survive it or even try is what we want to know as the pages on this one …turn.
