USA Today Bestselling Author Dakota Willink delivers an emotionally gripping, dark romantic suspense that is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Gianna

There’s a common expression I remind myself of every day: that which does not kill us, makes us stronger.

People think I live an idyllic life with my perfect husband, but they don’t know what lies beneath the façade.

Like the delicate petals of the daisies he loved to give, I was easily crushed—broken, just as he wanted me to be.

I’ve learned to accept what is, but I won’t let it destroy me.

Instead, I do the only thing I can to survive—I run.

Derek

I knew she had a story. I knew it most likely contained violence.

But never did I imagine the horrors she’d been through.

I’d waited so long and she’d experienced so much.

She was perfectly imperfect, her scars more than skin deep.

I couldn’t help wanting to get closer.

She was strong and there was beauty in strength.

I was drawn to it—drawn to her.

I wanted to erase her nightmares and give her something new to dream about.

What an inspirational story, what strength and courage. The support Gia got and finally the happy ever after. Great book, couldn’t put it down

I love this book. It is the embodiment of how strong a woman is even after years of abuse. I know what abuse is. I felt every blow this woman went through even though I was never abused that badly. I couldn’t have read this book at a better time. Although I’m no longer in any relationship as I had left my abusers years ago, the mental abuse still exists. It makes you want to fight another day after reading this book. Thank you

I really enjoyed this book. Gianna marries Ethan, her dream man. He soon becomes her worst nightmare as he turns out to be an abusive monster. After surviving a few years of marriage to him, she comes up with a plan to leave and start a new life. Unknown to Gianna, Ethan is hot on her trail. Suspenseful and intriguing story.

I read this after I’d read the Stone series and thought it was brilliant. Love the fast moving pace of the book - it’s nice not to be strung along forever with the storyline.

It has taken me a while to read this book. I had to keep putting it down because it was a little scary. Its unfortunate that in the real world there are people like this. She was so brave to get out when she did. I would pick it up and read a few chapters and get scared and then had to find out what happened next. Such a good read. Thank you.

A story of violent domestic violence, and a happy ending. Very good book. Kept me on the edge of my seat. A little of the movies Sleeping with the enemy and Enough. Then a very creepy abusive husband, and a hero of the man to help her save herself.Makes my heart hurt to know this stuff goes on.The writing was great. Lots of typos, but I was so engrossed I flew right past them.
